With Spring finally upon us, the flowers and trees have all bloomed and buyers and sellers are out to find their ideal homes.
I’ve written before about why Curb Appeal is important and how to achieve it.
For those of you looking for less time consuming and cheaper options to make the most of the exterior of your home prior to selling, here are some budget-friendly fixes:
- Tidy Up

The quickest, and cheapest route to Curb Appeal is on you – tidying up.
Take a weekend, one where the sun is shining, and clean the exterior of your home. Mow, trim bushes, and generally tidy up. Dirt can really build up outside, so pay extra attention to windows and doors. Make sure to clean the inside of your windows too!
- Re-Paint Accent Areas

No need to re-paint your entire home. Instead focus on accent areas like doors, trims, and shutters. A fresh coat of paint can make all the difference in the real estate world.
- Replace House Numbers

A pretty simple fix for a rusty problem. Over time, your house numbers will rust or develop grime due to the outdoor elements.
Go out, and buy new, clean numbers and not only will passers by notice your beautiful, for-sale home more frequently, and remember the address, but those who come for open house won’t have any trouble finding it!
